BUILD LOG
I bought this kit for simple reason: passing time while waiting for Zhao Yun from Motor Nuclear and Bandai's MG Vidar. The result is mixed. It's a straight build so let's go over it quickly!
BUILD NOTES
PROS
- Glorious looking, especially with full effects.
- No troublesome gimmick, everything is straight out of the runners and onto the kit.
- Huge. It's as big as MG Sazabi and the weapons are refreshing to look at.
- The water decals, instead of bunch of text and lines, are patterns and they are necessary to give Fire Lord a unique look. Don't sleep on it!
- The cape 🫡
CONS
- Snap fit is not 10/10. There are problems through the build at various places that you need to use force to put them together. Likely 7.5/10
- Gate placement is questionable, especially the effects. You need to pay attention to where you cut or else mistake will be made. Sometimes it is difficult to tell.
- The head. It's bland. I think they spent too much time choosing the body parts until last minute they pick a random head to slap it on. Would swap to an alternative when it is available.
- Decal quality is a bit low. Easy to mess up. Be careful.
