MSR-00100 HYAKU SHIKI KAI (GOLDEN WARRIOR)

The first impression is the box looks bland with all yellow color and the runners are... funny. There are runners not on the manual but on an extra manual (or actually, papers). So we have one manual, three additional papers, and two set of runners. One set of runners (with no alphabet header) and a piece of paper manual are for the metal part building. A manual and the rest of the runners are for building up the Hyaku Shiki Kai Full Armor. A piece of paper for the LED, and another piece for correction.

Then I started building it, I feel like I was building a Bandai MG kit.

The snapfit is strangely good overall. Metal parts and plastic work well together with no extra force required. IT'S NOT COMMON IN THIRD PARTY MODEL KITS. Every bit comes together easily except a few parts of the leg armor. But that's trivial.

The manual design is something I would love to see more in the wild. They list out all the parts you need to build specifically. For people like me who like to cut them out at once then assemble together, this is a life-saving feature. The color marker for runner header, and for the parts, do help make things more easier to navigate and hard to miss.

There are NO over-designed details! It does look like a slightly upgraded P-Bandai MG of Hyaku Shiki Kai. You wouldn't see redundant pointy armor or pointless additional lines on the part. Just right for a MG gunpla.

However, there are some confusing steps that I failed to understand when building the legs. You follow the manual to assemble these pieces together then a few more steps, you are supposed to replace them with similar parts, with no explanation. Just replace them.

Also, the water slide comes with it is fully of basic lines and markings. No logo or text to identify the mobile suit. Apparently for that one reason lol so if you are into water slide, please purchase an EVO one for Hyaku Shiki (also having Hyaku Shiki Kai in there) and slap those identifiers on.

100% recommended for all levels of builder. I love it. Now I need to build the Full Armor set for it.
